About Tony |
The formative years of Tony Rudner's career were spent in South Africa. At 8 years old, he played his first tune on guitar and has been playing ever since. For him the guitar is an extension of body and mind.
This exploration resulted in Tony producing and recording over 35 albums for
the African and Canadian markets. Performing live with many accomplished musicians including
Manfred Mann,
Johnny Fourie, Thembi Mtshali, and Bruce Cassidy.
In 1983 he formed Sweet Ride. This group won the 1984 National Jazz competition
and released their self-titled album on the
EMI label. |
