Tony started writing songs in the 70’s
while living in South Africa.
His early successes came by writing songs for his award-winning group
“Sweet Ride” on their debut
EMI release.
As his record production skills developed, he found himself co-writing
with many of the African artists whose albums he was working on.

Success also came with his many commissions to write songs for movies
and TV.
Most notably the theme song for the National Zulu TV hit series
Sgudi
Snaysi and the theme
for No Jacket Required, a weekly program that
ran for 10 years on National English TV. He also wrote the opening theme
song for
The London International Advertising Awards.
